This museum is housed inside a mansion that dates back to 1887 and was a residence for the Scroggs family. It opened as a children's orphanageand day care run by the Sisters of St. Francis of Christ in 1919, and operated until the 1980s. Haunting reports here include a ghostly Lady in Red who appears wearing 1940s red clothing and red hair, sometimes trailing blood, and always asks, "Where's the house of he priest?" She then vanishes. Some believe she had been a homeless woman who was taken in by the nuns, and then died of a botched abortion. There are several other spirits that are believed to reside here as well, and witnesses have reported apparitions, electrical anomalies, footsteps, music, the smell of baby powder, singing and cold touches.
