Old Saint Mary Hospital
Manhattan, KS 66502
Dating back to 1907, this location is no longer a hospital but is believed to be haunted by two spirits from its hospital days. One is believed to be a night nurse who fell down an elevator shaft and died. She has been spotted on the first floor, carrying a tray and a candle. The other is George, a patient who fell between his bed and wall and died. Reports say his apparition isn't frail like the man he was when he stayed in the hospital, but instead is energetic and playful. He is known to mess with the lights, locks and unlock doors and windows, and make noise in the hallways of the third floor. George's ghost has also been known to fix clocks and repair electricity after an ice storm to only this building, not the rest of the neighborhood, so he could watch Star Trek.
