Stories say this army plant is haunted by an explosion victim. The incident took place in the late 1980s and when the plant was reopened for the Persian Gulf War in the 1990s, workers had nightmares, saw visions, and even heard the phantom sound of bicycle bells once used as transportation by supervisors throughout the plant.

I worked at the plant 4 years. I got out one month before the explosion that killed Jerry and Shirley. That entire place was an explosion waiting to happen. I'm surprised it didn't happen in the press room. Those pressers used to try and straighten the spider legs on the fuse by pushing down and turning by HAND after pulling it from the machine that loaded the bomb into the canister. Sometimes when you pushed the button that would raise the press an inch to see if it would hold the bomb would pop up. There's not enough money to work there. They are re-opening it right now.

I was working and next to explosion that killed Gerald and Shirley we all that wasn't hurt or killed ran outside thinking chain reaction would happen I seen he's still alive so no names man covered in there blood and wounded badly I haven't been back since the day of the explosion but the supervisors and maintenance people did ride bikes and rang the bike bells so could get out of there way in the long halls between buildings and other work areas I do have dreams vivid of the explosion not often but I have them
