With Halloween almost here, you might be wondering - what sweet treats will be popular with the trick or treaters this year? Although there are seemingly endless options when it comes to buying trick or treat candy, there's a few treats that have continued to dominate the most popular Halloween Candies bracket in Kansas, although this year, M&M's has lost its #1 spot!
So what's the most popular candy in the Sunflower State for 2017, you're wondering. According to CandyStore.com's annual Halloween Popular Candy Study, M&M's, which was the most popular candy in Kansas in 2016, has lost the title of top treat to another iconic chocolatey favorite - Reese's Cups! The race was tight though, with M&M's coming in 2nd this year, missing the #1 slot by only 1,394 pounds sold. Hailing in at number three is another well-known, well-loved treat - Dubble Bubble Bubble Gum!
While Reese's Cups might be the Halloween Candy King of Kansas this year, next year is anyone's game - the race to be Kansas' favorite treat is a tight one each Halloween Season, so be on the look out for new sweet treats going for the gold in 2018!
