This brick home was built in the late 1800s and is a well known spot for being haunted. One of the ghosts said to linger here is that of Sallie, the imaginary friend of a former tenant's daughter. Haunting reports at the home include physical attacks, apparition sightings, pictures that were turned upside down on the walls and candles that oddly melted. Also, ghost investigators have explored the home.

  • A night at Sallie House

    In February 2023 my partner spent a night at Sallie House. It is a very pretty house in Atchison, Ks. Though we didn't see anything we did have temperature changes all night, heard someone(thing) pacing upstairs on and off all night and there were some strange see them now & then they are gone shadows. The basement is now blocked off because of questionable accidents happening down there.

  • Information Update

    The house for the month of October is open to self guided tours, call ahead first. Also, the house used to belong to a physician. A mother brought her daughter in who's appendix had burst and he didn't wait for the anesthesia to take full affect and began operating. She died in pain and thinking a man was torturing her. A family that moved in in 1993 had a little boy three months into living there and Sallie would move his stuffed toys around. They moved out after about a year because though Sallie never touched the mother or child, the father was constantly being scratched and attacked, and fires were starting to break out. There's a book on Amazon that they wrote about it. Anyway :) I'm super stoked to go check it out! I'm definitely going before the month is up so I'll update then!
